Horrible Sky F1 audio!!! Track audio too drowing out commentators

Horrible audio quality on Sky F1 feed!!!

The track sounds are way too loud compared to the commentators and it's drowing out the commentators, so it's incredibly draining to listen to.

Have been reporting it all season and NOTHING happens. It's ruining the feed!!!

Sound engineer needs replacing or a hearing test!!!

hi @Lau_17

Which channel are you watching it on (UHD/HD) , what equipment are you watching it on (TV, Soundbar or AV amp), What setting do you have in Home - Settings - Setup - Audio Visual - Digital audio output HDMI (Normal / DD /DD+)

I know this doesn't help you but I have no problem watching the UHD feed using DD+ through an AV Amp & separate speakers

It might be that what you are listening through has problems with the centre channel separation.

@Lau_17

No problem here watching in UHD although I don't like the stand in commentator.

Listening through an external speak plugged to my projector.

The normal F1 feed is perfectly balanced, as is the French, German, Dutch, all other channels are perfectly balanced.

Porsche Cup, F2, F3 are all perfect.

But for F1, Sky F1 feed is horrible. It's the only case I have horrible audio. Everything else- movies, Netflix, YouTube- is perfect, high-quality audio.

But Sky Sports F1, specifically the track sound is way too loud compared to the commentators. It's like trying to hear a conversation with two rock concerts happening at the same time next to you.

@Lau_17   It sounds like you have a problem with the centre channel. DD+ is perfect here, crystal clear voice.

It was fine for me too.

The exception yesterday was the IndyCar race. It keeps happening for the last few IndyCar races, and the fault is entirely the audio mix from the Fox Sports source. Practice, Quali all fine, then regularly as clockwork for the race only, the audio from the commentators was half the volume of the ambient track audio. Tom (the excellent commentator we get here in the UK during American ad breaks) confirms they are aware of it and have asked Fox to stop doing it.

But no issues with the F1 - that was perfect (watching the standard 5.1 feed from SkyQ)
