Home screen on screen but cant access apps or stations?

I can see my home screen, I've different option flicking by on the screen to watch but the remote won't alter the screen and the only option I have is "search shows and music".  Basically I'm days lookin at a home screen, my options available and can't go no further?

@Roberto76 Have you tried rebooting your main Q box ie
putting your box into Standby then switching it off at the wall for 30 seconds
switch it back on then follow the on screen instructions

then

Try resetting your remote.
Press the buttons 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes twice then follow onscreen instructions to repair the remote.

I have, thanks for your time. Nothing happens? Back to homescreen all the time and the only response I get is for "search shows and movies" and get no more out off the remote control unless to turn the puck off? I'm thinking now just to cancel the direct debit in order to at least to force some form of reply? Technically I've given up on sky and treated myself to a second chromecast. I've no idea what's wrong and I'll probably need wait now till there lookin for their money?
