Do you mean the difference between HD (High Definition) and SD (Standard Definition)?
HD is better because it has a higher resolution and therefore a sharper, more detailed picture quality. The file sizes for HD recordings are therefore larger than the lower quality SD recordings so will take up a bit more space on your hard drive.

Hi @ChadRyan When moving big files, HDDs can copy 30 to 150 MB per second (MB/s), while standard SATA SSDs perform the same action at speeds of 500 MB/s.
They are disk drives though, SKYQ only has a HDD drive, and cannot be replaced with a SSD drive.
If you are talking about picture quality, recording in HD gives you a clearer sharper picture then material recorded in SD.

Re: Hi
The price of HD will be determined by you negotiating a discount with Sky. You can expect to pay up to £8pm.

Re: Hi
@ChadRyan If you have agreed a 'free for 2 months' deal then it's likely you've also agreed how much you will be paying once the free period has ended.

On the MySky app scroll down on the first screen to where it says Bills & Payments. This will show what you are paying and should list the offers you currently have. You can also click on Your Products for more information on the individual elements of your package.
If you have been given a couple of months of free HD and don't want to continue paying for it then you'll probably have to ring Sky to get it removed from your package. They usually need 31 days notice to prevent you being charged.

Hi @ChadRyan If you decide that you want to carry on with what you have now, you can do nothing and your subscription will carry on with the payments that are shown on your future bills. ( see billing in the MY SKY app)
If you want to cancel anything from your SKY subscription you will need to call SKY and talk to an advisor, before the two months free add ons are up!

@ChadRyan you would normally have to give 30 days notice to cancel any subscription and typically need to contact Sky to cancel so if you wish to cancel your free 2 month HD subscription and not pay anything at all you would need to contact Sky after your first month is up

Just to clarify, HD (High Definition) and SD (Standard Definition) are different to HDD (Hard Disk Drive) and SSD (Solid State Drive)
