Hd to Q

Hi all, I'm about to upgrade from Sky + to Sky Q, but her in doors has some programs saved on the old box, how do I download them to a dvd disc?

hi @Adderman

You would need a recorder that has composite video inputs  (SCart or RCA connectors aka phono plugs)  & appropriate lead

I have a recorder that records to HDD & DVDs but they are not as common as they used to be and the newer recorders tend to only record to HDD from freeview rather than have the external inputs

If you have a DVD recorder you should be able to connect it to your Sky+ box's scart or av sockets and record in real time and standard definition only to a DVD.

As an aside @Adderman

Although you seem to be about to switch, you may still find some notes I have put together  for people thinking of switching useful.

@Adderman Have you checked to see if they are available on Catch Up?

If they are you can download them to the new box.
