@Diane77 As an experiment, It might be worth configuring your Fritz router to stop automatically changing WiFi channels. Try manually setting your Fritz routers 2.4 GHz WiFi channel to 13, and the 5 GHz WiFi channel to 100.
To gain access to your new router type 192.168.178.1

Live channels/forwarding is via the satellite signal (and hard disk) - not your broadband...
Or are you referring to streaming apps?

Re: Has anyone experienced problems with Sky q when using a Fritz router to provide your broadband
There does seem to be certain devices that can cause problems with Sky Q. I used to notice when I had a Roku box connected to the TV, it made Sky Q extremely slow and unstable. Channels took ages to change and pause/rewind was very glitchy. As soon as Roku was unplugged Sky Q was fine again.

@Diane77 I have used a Fritz 7530 with Sky Q devices connected via ethernet for many years with no problems.

What router did you change from?
It's possible the new router is clashing with Sky's own mesh - 5GHz channel 36 to 48 by default.
