Hi can someone confirm if Multiscreen has changed?
As it stands after 24+ years my sky services will be ending on the 29th and the main issue for this relates to the ££15 per month Multiscreen charge (£5 for new Multiscreen customers, £10 for me) however although this clearly states it still allows viewing on 4 screens, I'm being told this no longer applies to Netflix. Currently the main reason I have multiroom is because it bumps up the Netflix package to the premium one.
The way I read the offers I Have been given is that I would have exactly as I have now for £40PCM but tide into a 24 month contract. I don't usually do 12 month contracts let alone 24mth because of the way my world is. But I would do that at £40pcm However here's the cruncher I'm told that Netflix even with Multiscreen would now be the minimum package with ads on 2 screens only even though Multiscreen clearly states 4 screens
so can any confirm 4 screens multiroom definitely does or spent include Netflix on 4 screens please.
It would be a shame to end this long running relationship because I had been misinformed. I don't like the fact i advised to take offers up on stages as it is that sounds wrong. Surely if I've been offered basically what I have now for a fixed price then they can cancel the cancellation and apply the new price.
A speedy reply would be appropriate because if it does go past the 29th and I loose my diamond VIP then I won't be returning at all which is a shame as it's the only customer rewards scheme that's still of any value.

Recontracting on Sky Q will mean that you are subject to the new Netflix packages.
ie
Key changes for Sky Q:
On Sky Q we are introducing the Netflix Standard with Ads tier this removes the requirement to have the HD/UHD pack to get Standard and Premium Netflix giving our customer more choice.
Existing Sky customers who have Netflix through Sky will remain on their current package until they make a specific change which will trigger a migration.

Just out of interest were you still on the old 'Multiscreen Pack' giving you UHD access.
Netflix 4 (concurrent) screens was previously available for those with Netflix & 'UHD' - Which was normally a separate UHD add on but some customers who switched to Q a while back may still have had the old 'Multiscreen Pack' rather than the UHD add on
As @oldfella says Netflix pricing all changed in December last year and customers are switched on a major change or renewal

website states multiroom £10
which would make £40pm but apparently the multiroom 4 screens offer now longer includes the Netflix premium alibi read it as it does as it doesn't say it's no longer included. CS say it's not but aren't clear on it.
£40 PM contracted for 24m I would strongly consider if things stay the same with Netflix. Being ad free and 4 screens that's the main reason I'm still with Sky and have multiroom tbh. As I'm fed up with sky Q boxes the Netflix issues and the fact I cannot watch a program on channel 5 without distortion (some other channels to.
tbh I'm more gutted about loosing VIP diamond as I've had some good things through that recently that I would normally do. But I'm not paying £65 for a poor service that I was paying £38-42 until very recently .
I considered stream but that looses sat and relies on broadband which I don't have with sky.
tbh honest I think I'm just going to go freebies and download what I want specifically and save my self a lot on money a month.

IIRC the last off I took up was a black Friday thing that had been rolled over. But I'm fed up of having to hustle and being bamboozled with unclear packs and deals especially if being tide in to a contract outside of the first year 24+ years ago I always denied any contracts , Even when it was 12 months I insisted on getting it in writing that I was elected from it. I have health issue and would want anything burdening people if I was no longer around

@Pogit Just to be clear it wasn't the multirrom that gave your 4 concurrent screens with Netflix - it was the UHD add on that upgraded the level.
As mentioned when people make any significant changes or renew the new Netflix structure kicks in - needing the boost options (if want advert Free or UHD & 4 concurrent screens)

Ah ok that might be where the confusion lies then so would the UHD add on no longer do that then?
The wording in the letter states UHD +HD 13 reduced to £5?
interestingly the only things that rent show as reduced are Ultimate TV +4.50 no mention of AlDs or how many concurrent viewings that the bit I'm annoyed at it implys the same as I have now. The only other bit that doesn't have a reduce and is of no interest to me is TNT sports

That is correct with the switch to thr new pricing structure that people are being over to the SKY UHD add on no longer affects the Netflix level - instead needing the 'Boost ' options - I include the list prices that we were informed of
From Mid December 2023 the levels are :
Netflix (Base level) is the With Ads service - 2 Screens in HD (list cost £4)
Boost to Netflix Standard - 2 Screens in HD Ad free (list price an additional £6 thus £10 in total for Netflix)
Boost to Netflix Premium - 4 Screens up to UHD/HDR (list price an additional £11 thus £15 in total for Netflix)
P.S. When you pay via SKY, you still cannot, currently, add the 'extra member' add on for use by family members not in your physical household that is available for those paying directly to Netflix
The wording in the letter states UHD +HD 13 reduced to £5?
I can't really comment on that but they do often give such offers
interestingly the only things that rent show as reduced are Ultimate TV +4.50 no mention of AlDs or how many concurrent viewings that the bit I'm annoyed at it implys the same as I have now. The only other bit that doesn't have a reduce and is of no interest to me is TNT sports
I think it is possible that you have retained the now, no longer available to take out, option of Netflix Basic without Ads which allows 1 or 2 (depending on when it was first taken out) concurrent Screens

My current understanding of my situation seems to be
stay as is for £65 pm 30 day rolling
which isn't going to happen that's a substantial increase but presented as a good deal.
£30 sig uhd Netflix (probably ad version but not clearly stated as so).
£40 as above but with multiroom
£55 stay as am but locked in for 24 months
none of which I feel reflects my diamond bio status.
I only had multiroom because that's what I was told gave me 4 screens and Netflix premium) I never had more than one Q mini because im not paying £99 for a mini box they're just not worth it but I do use Netflix on multiple devices and sometimes Sky go.
sadly I think it's just time to say goodbye to Sky as will happen in 9 days. Again weirdly the only thing I'll miss is Sky Diamond VIP because I had benefited a lot from free events over the past year or more but that doesn't justify £65pm or £1320 over the next 24 months.
I will loose discovery plus not a major loss, I won't be able to claim 1yr free paramount that's currently in my offer box but again no real loss.
Amazon I'll keep for prime. Apple TV is ok for free but that's it. Anything I really want to watch I can download anyway.
it will be a loss of easy recording. But I got over loosing reminders with Q eventually so I guess recordings will be the same.

My biggest issue is none of the Netflix details are clear, I'm not told in a way it's diffrent to what I have now which if it is changed is cheeky and it should clearly show it's diffrent by giving me the so called boost options which there is no mention of.
If I were just to take the offer excluding multi room I have no indication if Netflix will now have ADs a downgrade or if I will be reduced from my existing 4 screens. It should be clear what I'm signing up to.
