Hardwired connection keeps dropping from sky a box

Our sky a box is hardwired to a BT hub. It's always worked fine it in the last 3 days has stopped connecting.

 

tried resetting the tv, hub and sky q box and still the same issue.

Hi @Frustrated14 , It's possible that even though you have connected your Sky Q box via hardwire that it is actually connecting via WiFi, the reason for this is that Sky Q default setting is to always try to connect via a WiFi connection, best way to stop this is go into settings via the Engineer menu  as follows :

 

Follow these instructions in successively, with no breaks between steps:

 

  1. Press the ‘Home’ button on your remote control.

  2. Scroll down to ‘Settings’ and DO NOT press select.

  3. Press ‘001’.

  4. Press ‘Select’

Once in that menu scroll to "Network" and turn both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi to the "Off" position, then "Save" .

Then reboot the system and in theory your connection will be made via Ethernet.
