Hard Disk Fault

I've had Hard Disk Error messages 3 times in the last few weeks. Had to reset my box each time, losing all recordings, series links etc.  Is there a permanent fix?

A new box.

Sounds like you have tried the reset as described in this Sky Q help article for hard disk problems.

Looks like you need to get a replacement box, that you can order from the link at the bottom of the article;

When you return your faulty box, make sure you remove your Sky viewing card.
