I am not sure what instructions you are referring to, unless you are referring to the web page in the link below - you should not need to select the type of remote if you follow this:
To choose the TV, you navigate using the arrow buttons and confirm with the Enter/select central button
The chances are entering the TV model may not find it, so I generally recommend choosing the 'Find it for me option' which often works with one of the first few codes it tries
Even though it is a new remote I suggest you reset it first
Press & Hold the 7 & 9 until the remote's light (red LED above the SKY logo button) flashes 4 times
Then press 1 & 3 together to go through to re-pair with the box and your TV - make sure it has line of sight of the box as until it is paired it uses Infrared
