HDMI splitter with Sky Q UHD & HDR (10bit)

I've just upgraded to one of the new HDR compatible Sky Q boxes and my Neet 1X2 HDMI splitter has stopped working  once i selected 10bit mode.

I was previously using an older 2T Sky Q UHD box running in 8bit mode, the splitter worked fine then so i'm guessing it's the 10 bit that it doesn't like.

Has anyone got any reccomended splitters they know work in 10bit with UHD & HDR?

@AnonymousThe problem may not even be the splitter, what is connected to it.

X2 UHD TV's. I've tried only plugging in one but sky then gives the error message with HDR content, saying it can't be played.

UHD and HDR are two different things.

Are you sure your TV is HDR capable and if so does it support HLG. If not its not going to work.

Hey I purchased one of these splitters B08X4GJMT6. And it just flickers the picture on and off. Matter of interest does yours still work ok?

Hi @AcuteMedia I haven't used it for a while as my son is using it for his PS4 connected to two HD monitors.

I'll test it later and post my results could you also let me know what programme you were watching so I can see if I get the same result you are experiencing.

Re: HDMI splitter with Sky Q UHD & HDR (10bit)

It was flickering on and off with anything I watched. It works perfectly on an other UHD HDR source. Just not on my sky Q box.

@AcuteMediaI believe the Q box output is 50fps where the splitter is 60fps this may be the problem.

@bob1234 @I didn't think of that, I just presumed because it did 60 it would be 50hz backwards compatible.
