why is it i can watch and record 104 ch4 HD and 105 ch5 HD (as they're free to air in HD)....
yet when i try to download a programme it says i need to upgrade?!
doesn't make sense as i could have viewed live or recorded at time of broadcast in HD
this isn't just on sky Q box as was the same on my + box also

Not too sure eactly why but there is this subtle (& annoying for many) difference between live broadcasts (which can be recorded on devices like SKY Q & Freesat Recorders) and catch up from the same channels

that's ridiculous given you can watch and/or record in HD
surely this is a technical glitch they cannot be bothered to correct?

Not a technical glitch with these channels.
It is possibly a rights issue as downloads / catch up are treated different to live - even if you can record & then play back with suitable devices

so why does it work ok for other HD channels like BBC1/2, ITV etc. but not ch4 or ch5????
