HD and UHD
Trying to save money - thinking of cancelling HD but keeping UHD. Can you do this? dont mind watching most things NOT in HD, like bbc etc, but would still like football and sports in UHD? Is this possible? Can you still pay for UHD without an HD subscription?

Re: HD and UHD
No.
HD is a prerequisite for UHD.

Re: HD and UHD
I presume you could watch the sports in HD as it's baked in, if cancelling uhd & hd for entertainment? Not that I'd consider trying to watch any entertainment in sd, it seems to be artificially lowered along with the audio.

Re: HD and UHD
Yes. Premium channels are HD regardless.
Free to air channels are also HD but some small anomalies with catchup. (Channel 4 o think)

AFAIK the list prices are
HD £9,
UHD £4 (as discussed needs the HD add on)
& included within SKY Sports but listed separately on bills is SKY Sports HD @ £6
which does not make £22 so I would double check your bills.
The SKY Sports HD - as mentioned being included as standard but listed separately cannot be removed.
You can remove UHD and the HD (for Entertainment/news channels) but you do need to pay for the standard HD if you want UHD

According to to my bill the standard full price for HD is only £9 though some reason there is extra charge on my bill Sky sports HD full price £6 though I get discount of £4 till April. Some one on here did explain that the total cost of Sky sports is realy £40 but for some customers packages have it split like mine to. Sky sports complete package £34 and a HD charge £6. No sure why they do that may be it looks better.

Re: HD and UHD
Interesting point as I said above Sky charge me a charge of £6 for Sky sports HD could you have the HD charge for the rest of your package cancelled and just keep the HD for sports ?

It is a legacy of he billing system - yes the price quoted for SKY sports is the total listed for SKY Sports on the bill + SKY Sports HD (which cannot be removed on it's own)

@DaveDrizen that can be done but it would not allow UHD to be kept as that needs the standard HD add on as prerequisite
