Europa League Final on HBO Max

Hello

I am a Sky Q customer and make use of the included HBO Max basic with ads App.

I am picking up conflicting information online as to whether I will be able to access the Europa League cup final on 20 May Or whether I need a separate TNT sports subscription or an upgraded HBO max. 
Any definitive advices will be appreciated.

While you would normally need a TNT subscription to watch football, the UEFA finals will be available to all HBO Max subscribers including the "Basic with Ads" plan provided by Sky.

The  Sky HBO max basic  with adds is entertainment only, to watch watch the TNT content of HBO Max you need a TNT sport subscription either though Sky which not  only gives you access to tnt sport on the HBO max app but also the 4 linner TNT channels on your Sky box. This cost is £34 a month  or you can get HBO max TNT sports subscription  though directly though HBO max from there web site this is  £32 a month and will give you access to TNT sport though the HBO app only.You can not get this option though Sky. If you have TNT sports though Sky  you will be able to view the TNT sport content on HBO max app using the same login that you have when you activated HBO basic with ads entertainment m however if you decide to subscribe to HBO max tnt sport direct this will probably involve a seprate login meaning you would have to log in and out for the two services. However reading a futher post here the uafa football final looks like will be a alable to ll HBO max subscribers  whether you have TNT sport subscription

The upcoming finals are an exception: they are going to be available to customers with even the minimum level of HBO Max.

The current media stories are because this means there's no truly free access: most Sky customers will benefit from the bundling of HBO Max though.

All 3 are available via the lowest HBO tier, regardless of having TNT or not.

BEWARE!

Those who want to watch the game tomight who think that the final is being broadcast via HBO Max, it is NOT. You need the TNT Sports sub, although the header says it's included! Disgraceful and misleading!

@Andy_Hill  The agent is talking nonsense it's been confirmed by tnt themselves that they are free to all hbo entertainment tier customers

Whatever the agent told you was wrong (this can and does happen) as we have asked Sky on here via our superuser forum and they can come back after asking  another team that you will be able to view the match as per my post.

Unfortunately call centre agents are likely to be relaying the usual information about TNT Sports content rather than the exceptions created specifically for the upcoming finals.

TNT themselves say:

All three European Finals will be available for no extra cost to all HBO Max* subscribers on any Monthly or Saver Plan – starting from Basic with Ads (£4.99/month**) and above.

* TNT Sports available on HBO Max in the UK only

Guy's the support is appreciated. I have just come off the phone with Sky for the second time; I was connected to 1st billing and then Tech Support. BOTH were adamant that the TNT sub IS required!

No idea what is true now.

I can see where you are coming from but what you have to note is the front line call handlers do not always have the correct information to hand so as we have said above you will be able to view the first of these games this evening.
