Ethernet connection to mini bix

Hi. I've a mini box in my garage pub. It won't connect. I have a sky booster between the mini and the main box but still no joy. I know Ethernet connection is the way forward. Can that be from my router as it's on an outside wall or does it have to be the main Q box

If your broadband Router/wifi  is SKY then yes you can just connect to the router

If another provider then you must connect to the main box directly or both the main box & mini connect via ethernet to the router (or an unmanaged switch)
