Engineer Visit

I called sky regarding a no satellite signal I'm in a community area for dish, so I'm not receiving any TV, the earliest an engineer can come is 15 May does anyone else feel that waiting times are really to long, albeit I am not going to pay my next month's viewing time but to me that's not the point also premium rate for weekend £15 and even then a three week wait thanks for reading my rant

@PUPALUP  Not sure why your paying a premium rate to call Sky since they actually use a free number 150 from Sky Tlak & Mobile line or an 03 local call number (normally free in most providerd calls package).

If the issue is with a communal dish then Sky cannot touch that, unless they are sending an MDU trained engineer, that being the case that will be why they can't send any one before the date they've provided.

PS if you intend witholding payment then be prepared for your services to be restricted as witholding payment is a breach of contract, regardless of any faults that have been logged.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Re: Engineer Visit

Hi I'm not withholding payment Sky are giving me one month free whilst no service, as for dish they don't think it's that as I have had issues before and it's usually to do with a comms box which feeds various properties, also I didn't use premium rate number.  Thank you for your reply and feedback.  My main issue is the delay in getting an engineer out which is well over a month and the premium £15 is if you have a weekend visit they don't charge in the week. Kind regards

hi @PUPALUP

It really does all depend on Engineer availablity & as there are far less engineers available at weekends & those that do weekends cover larger areas than during the week this may lead to apparent longer lead times

I don't know but I suspect the bank holiday weekend for the Coronation may also be a factor.

BTW I presume you mean 13th May as 15th is a Monday

Re: Engineer Visit

I did mean Monday 15th May as this was only available slot.

Sorry your reference to the weekend surcharge misled me

I have to admit your wait is longer than we usually  expect, although not unheard of.
