Download to tablet not working

Going away and as normal I want to download a film to watch tonight. Each time I try with any film I get an unknown error saying it cannot download and to try later. 

The tablet is on the same WiFi as Sky Q. 

I have tried updating the app and charging the tablet more and no use. 


Any ideas?

You need the Q Monthly Multiscreen to do this.

is Q monthly something new? I've been able to download before and never heard of Q monthly. Where do I get that?

It's the Sky Q monthly Multiscreen subscription.

Thank you. 

I have never had the Multiscreen subscription and have always been able to download films to take away. They stay on the tablet for a limited period and once started watching they go after 48hours. 

I just don't know why the download is failing for an unknown reason?

You need the Q Monthly Multiscreen to do this.

Do you have this?


You don't need multiscreen to download content to a tablet or mobile phone, you only need it for Sky Go on Apple TV or consoles. 
@Tigger900 - try logging out of the Sky Go app & logging back in or even deleting the app completely & reinstalling it.

@SlenderRobert it depends on where you are trying to download from. If you are trying to download recordings from your Q box then you need the multiscreen subscription to connect Sky go to your Q box if you are downloading through Sky go then you should be able to do this without the multiscreen subscription
