Download failed, no subscription

Same issue I've had for months!!

download failed, no subscription!!!

I've spoken with my internet provider wefiber and they say sky are blocking their network!! I upgraded to a static IP as this was an option to fix. Worked for a week or so. Stopped working today 1-11-23.
Had enough of sky now, absolutely shocking service. Been with you for years and only had issues since we moved and went with a different broadband provider!!

Sky implement geolocation blocking.  If your IP address is reporting outside the UK downloads are blocked.

See what location this reports: https://www.whatismyip.com/

Re: Download failed, no subscription

same issue, had it for months now.

Changed DNS from 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 and works for an episode then not again.

Does it on HD & SD and TV programmes and Films.

Thought it was my internet provider but so many have this issue and we can all be on the same provider for internet.

It's awful and really considering leaving sky now

Re: Download failed, no subscription

Had the same problem, tried changing the IP addresses manually, didn't work, then selected set IP addresses automatically, then it worked again. Downloads full episodes again. Only did this a few mins ago, so don't know if it will work long term.

Problem originally occurred after changing to wefibre. Also changed router to ASUS rt-axe7800.

It's your public IP address that is relevant - which you cannot easily change yourself.  (It may change when the lease expires or you reboot the router).
