Downgrading on Sky Q

I am currently on Sky Q. I have access to Box Sets, Sky Sports, Sky Cinema and multiscreen for the second TV. I want to downgrade and take off everything except the Sky Sports and Multiscreen (basically for my husband). I've been told that I cannot do that and have to switch to Sky Signature, which includes the Box Set as a standard package within the price. However that means paying over £60 per month. I can't understand why I can't stay on Sky Q and just take off the packages I don't want,  the cost  would be £48 per month. Any ideas why I can't do that?

Because you always need a base TV package.  (The current iteration is Signature)

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

I would guess that it's because you have a legacy viewing package which is no longer sold (and hasn't been for some while).
