Do I need to be present?

This may be a really daft question!  Have a contract for sky at new property (have been with sky since back in the day).  There is no TV at the house yet.  When the sky engineer calls to do the install for SKY Q, do I need to have a TV in situ?  Sorry again if question is really daft.
