Disney + picture keeps freezing

We have been trying to watch various TV series on Disney + but we are getting very frustrated when the picture freezes and then just jolts along taking 5 minutes to watch about 15 seconds of TV. We cannot fast forward and end up going back to the app to start again, but it will still freeze after a while

There a number of reports of issues with Disney+ unfortunately, check out this thread.
