Disney+ subscription issue
Hi all! Any advice on this would be much appreciated, it's driving me up the wall! I have tried to activate the standard Disney+ subscription for a brand new Disney account. The current subscription on the TV shows as the standard £0 one, but on the Sky app it's only giving me the option to pay £9 for the premium, can't downgrade. Has anyone else had this issue?

I have moved your post into the (Sky Q) current thread discussing the launch of the Disney+ app and any teething problems.

Disney account
I have linked my free Disney account to an old email that no longer exists, on my Sky Q mini box. I tried to link it again on the main box but it won't work. It offers me a chance to change the email but only by sending a reset code to the email that no longer exists.

Disney+ new error code 1026
Disney+ was working fine previously. Managed to migrate the account successfully from Disney direct to Sky. Been watching it multiple times since with no issues. Suddenly today - Error Code 1026 AUTH_SERVICE_INIT_FAILURE with the message "We are having a problem. Please exit the app and try again."
Unfortunately, nothing seems to get it working. Restarts, turning off and on, restarting the Sky Q box etc.
At a loss as to how to fix this.

Hi everyone,
From 17 March, Disney+ Standard with Ads is now part of the Sky package for Sky Q/Glass/Stream customers. That means even more brilliant entertainment included in your monthly subscription, at no extra cost.
Whether you're diving into Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, National Geographic or the latest Star originals, we’d love to hear how you're finding the new addition.
For FAQ's and to check if your package is included, click here.

Whilst the process was fine, despite Sky stating any annual subscriptions would be refunded Disney aren't doing this and just stating that the original yearly subscription account is 'paused'. Many of us would not have gone through the process and end up paying twice if we hadn't have been misinformed so can someone in Sky give Disney a swift kicking and say to them that they should refund anyone with a outstanding amount please.
hi @cuke
This has been raised and we have been advised that, despite the messages you may have received as part of the migration saying it is just suspended, Disney will be refunding the amount remaining for annual subscribers (as per the help pages & announcements etc)
We have not been given any specifics on the refund process but I am guessing it may take a few days for this to go through & show in people's accounts
I am pleased to advise that I received my refund from Disney+ within just a few days of me switching to paying via SKY .
@cuke hopefully you will have been refunded by now also

Re: Disney+ new error code 1026
Needed to call Disney to fix this. They had the reset/clear something on their end and then I had to restart everything my end - router, sky box etc. Following this everything worked. But no matter what I tired prior to calling them had no impact.

Indeed I have, a vast sum of £2.78 and without asking as well.
