Discovery+

I have spent weeks talking to Discovery+ because on my Sky Q box it keeps asking me to set up a paid subscription, even though I don't need one as it's free! I have an account with Discovery+ but I cannot access the content. I was told today to contact Sky as D+ had done everything they could but could not resolve the problem. I have just sat on the phone for over an hour and got through to - no one!

So I am no further forward with sorting this out. It looks like only Sky can sort this out because they have not linked my free account to D+. I have no expectations of sorting this out because it has gone on for months, so when my contract is up for renewal, guess what, they can whistle because I've had enough.

Why won't Sky fix the issues with Discovery plus?

For about a year I have been trying to get access to Discovery plus, in that time Sky has tried three times to give me access which I am entitled to being a Sky Q account holder with the right package. The second time they set up a new account because the original could not be accessed, this worked and I had access, now that access has stopped and the only way I can gain access is to set up a monthly payment which I will not do. Sky seem not to care and make it as hard as possible to get anyone to take this problem seriously. I can see by the forums that there are many people with the same issue and it appears that Sky have not sorted anyone out. I will be cancelling my contract when it ends in 2024, I have had enough!

Hi @hrolive sometimes it works for some and not for others let's see if we can get you up and running fingers crossed maybe you have tried this apologies if you have step by step with screen shots.

On your Sky Q remote press the home button so you are on the Homescreen

 

1. Scroll down to My Sky then scroll right to Your Products

2. You'll need to enter your Sky TV Pin at this point to continue once entered correctly you will see this screen.

3. Select App Subscriptions then you'll see this screen.

4. Press select and discovery+ monthly is showing this

5. Press select and you should see this

I'm already subscribed but I'll select Activate subscription you'll see this

I've already linked my account so for me it's straight to step 3 if you see this screen displayed.

I have the same issue. When I follow your suggestions and enter "my products" I can see I have a 0 cost Discovery Plus subscription but when I select it I don't get the extra option to activate it so still no access to their programs and I should actually get D+ Premium as a TNT Sports subscriber. Like the other guy you tried to help I am about to cancel Sky and use another provider as it's becoming obvious Sky doesn't give a **bleep**.
