Sky have suggested the following...

  • Unpair their Sky Q remote from the box by holding 4&6
  • Wait for the remote to flash
  • Then dismiss the information screen "Skip & set up later"
  • Hold 1&3 to repair the remote control

If 4&6 does not allow you to clear the information screen, try holding 7&9 to reset the Sky Q remote then hold 1&3 and follow the on-screen setup journey to allow the remote to control the TV.

Yeah a few people have had this happen. Can't recall what causes it but the remote seems to lose its pairing with the box.

Call it as it is, Sky Q is rubbish and isn't it great for Sky to have  Joe Public fixing the problems while they continue to debit my bank account €146 every month! Not for much longer. Thank you Sikovsky
