Connectivity Probiems Pt 2

Have a 4 year old SkyQ setup with a main box in the front room and a mini box in a bedroom. The router we are now using is an EE Smart Hub 6 + having been moved across from BT 5 weeks ago. The speeds it runs are 19.5 maps download and 7.15 upload approx

Have had connectivity problems between the main and mini boxes over the last week Firstly on the satellite TV side and now latterly ( and more often)  on the apps Sky Store etc. side. All the problems until today have been around the mini box with the main box running OK

However..... Today the mini box lost apps etc. so I went downstairs to check the main box and found that they had disappeared there as well. 'Settings " told me the main box had lost the router connection so I reset the router connection  re inputting the router password etc. but the main box still wouldn't pick up the router. In the end I had to reboot the main box....re attach it to the router using router pw again and then reboot and re- attach the mini box to the main box via WPS. What a bloody carry on!!

What's going on here? Could there be a problem with...

The EE Router?

The Main Box?

The Mini Box?

I'm starting to get cheesed off !!

Just to add I had to go though the same process again some 4 hours later. Lost contact with the router on the main box and had to completely re boot and reattach the main box to the router and then reboot and reattach the mini box to the main box to the mini box using WPS

The change in Hub may have triggered a need for the deployment of a Q booster.

Re: Connectivity Probiems Pt 2

Now I think about it... When EE sent me out all the kit to set up the new router they also included a signal booster ( Smart wi fi +)

Does that do a similar thing, in that its designed to amplify and extend the range of the wi fi signal?

Many thanks

Unfortunately not: a Q Mini box (which is now a decade-old design) won't talk to it.

Only a Sky-branded booster will work.
