Connection between Sky q box and Sky Max hub

I've connected to the sky max hub through my sky Q box but the connection keeps dropping in and out . I've done the reset and pressed the WPS button but no joy. The WiFi box is within ten feet of the sky Q box so it shouldn't need a booster box. I've tried to check my WiFi connection on my sky app and all it says is that there is no fault... Anyone's else having a similar problem ? Thanks

Re: Connection between Sky q box and Sky Max hub

@LeeHodge Have a look with the app, see if the sky Max hub is on WPA3-T, if so lower it to WPA2-PSK and see if wireless is more stable. You should consider wiring the sky Q direct to the sky Max with Ethernet. Link's below may help!

Sky Max change settings link.

and also below because the sky Max has to be treated as a third party hub now.

Hi @LeeHodge

You need to connect the Sky max router as if it is a 3rd party router.

First reset your broadband router.
On 3rd party broadband and your router does not have a reset button, reboot it by disconnecting the power lead for 30 secs and then reconnecting.
Wait until the router is completely back and running and then try a Network Reset found in Q box Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to connect by WiFi to your router. Even if reset is not listed there is still an option to connect by WiFi to Sky or 3rd party router.
On Sky Broadband with the new Sky Max router then you need to connect it as if it is a 3rd party router.
If you are on 3rd party (non Sky ) broadband then you need to enter the SSID and password for the router 2.4 Ghz WiFi band.
