I've just bought a new tv and the hdmi ports are on the opposite side from my previous tv meaning that my sky mini box hdmi cable will not reach. Do I have to use the official sky cable that the box came with or can I use any longer hdmi cable?

hi @AWJW
You can use virtually any HDMI cable , which you can get from many outlets
(HDMI 1.4 or above & able to support HDCP 1.4 or above for use with mini boxes - which is probably virtually all that are available these days - 4K , which minis don't support, need higher versions- HDMI 2.0 or higher & HDCP 2.2)
Edit : Note you do not need to spend silly amounts that some well known stores charge

Re: Connecting sky mini box
Hi @nigea99
Thank you for your reply. I was always told to use the official cable, assuming this was to ensure it covers the correct specifications so I appreciate your help with this.
