Confusion with equipment return

I have cancelled my Sky TV contract completely and at the same time my broadband meaning I'll have no Sky services at all. Today, I have received a cardboard flat package with a request to return the router plus cables together with a remote control. Inside the cardboard are instructions (including returns label) where specific items must be placed but the router didn't come with a remote. Can I assume that it means the Q box remote? If so, WHY would they feel the need to split the Q box and remote? Surely they should be sent together! My TV part of the contract has two more weeks to run - or have I got this wrong?

@Al0864

Packaging for the hub normally arrives first as the notice period is only 14 days. Packaging for the Sky Q would arrive near the end of the 31 day notice period.

You can use any packaging as long as it’s secure and you may want to put a note inside with your account number and a list of equipment that is included in each box.

Keep your proof of posting safe and indefinitely and if you use Royal Mail’s collect from home service, keep a record of the tracking number.

I would just keep the remote until you send the Q
