Colour of indicator LED
Why did Sky not use bright Red to show that the box is off ?
Why on earth did they pick amber - this looks almost identical to green and makes it extremely hard to see whether the box is on or off !
Protanomaly - is a colourblindness that reduces the shade of red by a degree - meaning that RED looks like AMBER - and AMBER looks like YELLOW (which means that the difference between yellow and pale green is hardly noticeable !!)
This should have been obvious at the design stage but was clearly not even considered !

There's no colour when the box is off.

There's no colour when the box is off.
Perhaps @Anonymous was referring to standby (after pressing the power button on the remote) - which leaves an amber/orange light on the device.
That's how I read it anyway.

@Anonymous Sky use red on the box as well for when the box goes in to eco mode if you have that set
so red is the box is in deep sleep mode
amber is standby
green is on
I believe red can also show if there is a problem with the box and it won't come on

Re: Colour of indicator LED
You are lucky you can see any colour of light!
In daylight times, the indicator is so dim I cannot see any light at all.
