Changing To Sky Stream
Hi, I'm a few months into a Sky Q contract, and I can't really afford it any more. I'm aware of the loophole, to change to Sky Glass, and then cancel it within the cooling off period, to get out of the Sky Q contract. Is it possible to do this with Sky Stream as well? I understand that on reflection, I shouldn't of recontracted, however everyone makes mistakes.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Changing To Sky Stream
So far as I'm aware, that loophole has been closed. If you switch from Sky Q to Sky Stream/Glass, I believe you agree an 18 months contract. Another Community member may be able to confirm (or not).

@Jack775322 as far as I am aware @Mark39 is correct and Sky have closed this loophole and anyone changing from Q to Sky Glass or Stream only has the option of a 18 month contract

Re: Changing To Sky Stream
@Mark39 @Laing1 I understand that Sky Glass and Sky Stream may start a new contract. However, if you cancel during the cooling off period, is it not like before where if you want Sky Q again, you have to start a new 18 month contract, and can't revert back to your old one? And if you don't want Sky Q again, you're free to leave.
Obviously I signed the contract, but have changed my mind a few months later. If there's no way to get out of the remaining 15 months, then I accept that.

You should absolutely be able to switch to a new 18 month Stream contract. It's only the 31 day contract loophole that has been closed. I took advantage of this loophole last October when I still had 6 months left on my Q contract and switched to a 31 day Stream contract. There was no penalty for ending Q early.
Sky are keen to get more people onto streaming so I doubt there will be any issue with switching.

No - you can't cancel - you are tied into the contract
A few people did use the initial switch to get out of their longer term contract but as others have said SKY have closed that loophole
I am not sure if you can revert to the orgiinal SKY Q contract end date or a new 18 month

Re: Changing To Sky Stream
@Jack775322I think they have closed that one perhaps it became too popular, when I changed to stream I was told I could take out a rolling contract but only because I am out of contract.

@Jack775322 in your example I would think If you don't want to revert to Q again andyou want to leave then Sky would be within their rights to charge you the remainder of your contract to allow you to leave
