Changed from Sky Stream back to Sky Q - Unable to download on demand content

Hi

We switched back from Sky Stream yesterday to Sky Q and when trying to access on demand content we're getting on an onscreen message saying we need to upgrade our subscription? We have the top subscription so this doesn't make sense? Internet connectivity is fine.

Hi @DanRP Try rebooting your router by removing the power cable for 30 sec then reconnect to reboot, then reboot your main SKYQ box by turning the power off at the socket for 30 sec then turn back on to reboot?

Hi

Thanks for the advice but already tried that at least twice without success. Internet connectivity is provided via BT not SKY. Via the Q box, apps like Netflix, Youtube etc... work fine, likewise we can stream on demand content via Sky Go.

Re: Changed from Sky Stream back to Sky Q - Unable to download on demand content

I have exactly same problem as DanRP. I changed back from Sky Stream to SkyQ yesterday . Try Catch Up all I get for BBC is  Upgrade needed Go to Sky.Com/Upgrade. Do this and nothing there to upgrade. Tried on ITV and seems to work ok.. Never had any problems previously with SkyQ recording.

Please can anyone advise.

Hi Dan

im thinking off going back to Q from streaming cant stand it, did you have to get to the end of your contract and start again or did  they let you do it mid contract.

Cheers

Sky Stream was on a rolling 31 day contract, when I called them they immediately allowed me to move back no questions asked, I also got a discount better than what I was paying on Q previously.
