Why has Ch4 suddenly disappeared?

It hasn't. I'm watching Ch4 now for the build up to the football.

I have a message ' not available in your area' all other channels are fine.

Thanks for replying.  I'm in Dublin. I have SkyQ. On line help no use as recommended retune all channels or factory reset which will lose all recordings

Not sure what you mean by "retune all channels"? There is no "tuning" for satellite received channels, that sounds like advice for a TV

Is channel 4 not on sky anymore

I know.  I mean reset the box and/or do a system reset as advised in Sky help. The error message is not recognised in the Sky app help.

2 things :

1) Is it possible that it is just the Football match that is on that might have restrictive rights not allowing it to be shown in Ireland ?

2) If it is not restricted then have you tried just doing a full power down restart of your Q box ?

Wow I'm amazed this thread has gone so long. England games on channel 4 are blocked in Ireland. They have been all through this rights deal.

Virgin media 3 have the game in blurry vision or if you know what you're doing, 1 of the other channel 4 regions can be manually tuned.
