You need to go through the Sky mobile app (Sky VIP  > Giveaways), click on the link that will (should) open an Apple TV page to activate the offer...

I accepted VIP 6 month free offer as well.  Did it on my iPad, success. BUT, can't figure out how to watch it on my TV?  When I go to AppleTV+ app there it just offers 7 day free trial?  Help please, Don

@captdon On Sky Q, you should have the Apps section, when you head over to the Apple Tv one there should be a way for you to sign up with your Apple ID.

I go to VIP area on my Sky app.  all options are grey in colour and don't respond by tapping on.

I get the activation but cannot access Apple. No log in options

I tried last night but the MySky app was under maintenance.  Today I get nothing when I try to click the Giveaways tab.  Nothing happens.  Called sky.  50 minutes later - sorry nothing we can do 😞   escalated the issue but couldn't help.  Massive waste of time and I've tried everything.  Not very impressed.

Hi All,

 

I'm still struggling to redeem this offer.  I'm stuck in a loop on the Redeem my offer page.  It's no longer showing in the Sky VIP area of the app anymore, but the offer (screenshot I have on my phone from other day) states have until 7th July to redeem it.  I've tried deleting MySky, adding and removing AppleTV app from my phone and even had a chat with Apple and they've told me I need to speak to Sky?

 

Any other tips please?

It did buts obs was trying prior to that date. I did actually manage it in the nick of time by deleting the app from my phone and putting it on my old tablet and it let me select the offer. There followed hours of passwords and verifications and even only getting a week free but once I cancelled that and logged in again to Apple tv it worked and I now have my 6 months. Wasn't easy. Wasn't intuitive and seemed to have no real reason for being so complex.

Spent an hour into Apple but not resolved as they cancelled my VIP free 6 months after charging me and I'm going round in circles. They state that recent VIP sky offer ran out or I've been given wrong code! Can anyone help?

I redeemed offer, but got no promotion code from Sky to put in the redeem code box asked for by apple

I am having the same problem with redeeming this reward. I have spent hours calling sky and spoken to numerous call handlers and still no luck. I was told I would receive a call back to solve the issue but didn't get a call back. I then called again and after been transferred 3 times to different handlers I was told this offer has now expired, despite my sky app saying the offer is live until further notice. 

The sky app says I have redeemed the offer but I haven't received a code at all and the sky app freezes on the Apple TV page and goes white and I can't proceed any further. 

Any help would be appreciated

Hi, I finally got it sorted by myself after many hours fiddling.

I'll try and remember.

Firstly it needs to be redeemed on mobile app.

I then created an account with apple, on my mobile, then brought up the app on my TV.

It will take you to a sign in page with a QR code. Scan that with your mobile and the rest should just flow.

I hope I've remembered the basics, it's hard to explain when you just tumble across the way.

It will say on the offer that it has been redeemed, but that doesn't matter until you actually get the account up and running.
