Cancelling question

Hi all , cancelled sky Q today and instantly lost my channels .is this correct as I thought as I have to give 31 days notice I would still be able to watch them but seemingly not. 

I switched to Essential package but due to the above I have now called and cancelled completely. Customer services on phone told me my essential package would finish in march and I could watch those channels until then ....sooooo surely this is complete opposite of what is happening with my original TV plan.

 

Cancel my original plan and instant cut off.

Cancel essentials 30days to watch them . 

Can anyone advise if correct , and why so ?

@T2cnr  This can occasionally happen but in general you should get access for the duration of notice period 

 

you could contact sky and challenge why they have done it so early

Thanks for reply. I'm just off the phone to them , they are correct , I am wrong , was the short of it.

To add more to insult just received this via text from SKY....

Hi don't forget your sky TV package will be cancelled in two days , if you change your mind  and would like to keep watching call us on (won't allow the tel number sorry)

 

This is all after initially calling sky this morn to cancel and put me onto essential package. 

 

Due to the mess around I've told them I wish to cancel completely
