My contract is ending soon and I have given notice to cancel. I have a lot of recordings from sky cinema. Will these recordings disappear if I choose to keep the Q box but on a basic package that allows me to record?

Hi @SiFounde
If the Recordings are from channels not part of the Sky Essentials pack (assuming that's what you are considering) you will not be able to watch them.

Ok thanks. The sky store purchases will stay and be able to watch won't they?

Hi all,
I am thining of cancelling my entire subscription. I know I will be able to watch the free to air channels but will I be able to watch recordings of them from my sky box?
I believe I can't record from my sky box when the subscription ends?
Thanks,

If you have SKY Q and cancel completely then you can't watch anything - the boxes have to be returned to SKY

Hi @Saint
Afraid if you cancel your Sky Q subscription then all Q boxes have to be returned to Sky.
All Q boxes are rented only for the duration of your subscription

Thanks for the rapid replies... It's actually the old sky + HD box 🙂

Is it okay to restart an older thread?
I have Sky Q, I phoned up to give notice of cancellation. I was told on the phone that I can no longer watch recordings from the day of notice! That seems perverse, as I have paid for the rest of the month.
Is that really how it works? I put the cancellation on hold for now, as there are recordings I want to watch.

Thanks for your reply.
You would think so! But he was adamant they could not be watched from the day of giving notice. Strange.
