You can't stop paying as payments continue through a repair process. Once the dish/cables/box are repaired/replaced then contact Sky and potentially ask if a credit can be applied to your account for the time without service.

@Johnholmes2024 Nope, if the service is unusable and requires new equipment then you can ask for a credit to be applied once its fixed/replaced and is working again.

Next door to us had a fire in 2013 and it damaged the dish and cables (amongst other things). Sky sorted it the following week and tbh we never thought of asking for a credit.
