Can't watch shows through search

Had sky installed a few weeks ago. When I search for a show and try to play it it says I do not have the required subscription for every show. To watch it I have to go into the app and access it that way which isn't ideal

Unfortunately, it is becoming inceasing common that the search will give results from  Satellite channels, on demand and streaming services showing everything it can find but this does not take into account what subscriptions you may have.

Thus, regrettably, you have to take care on what you select or be prepared for it to take you to a sevice you don;t subscribe to,

I am afraid there is no way to customise this to ignore any services

Sorry I wasn't clear I do subscribe to the services it just won't let me access through search

Exactly what show are you searching for and cannot play?

Also what App are you going into to play it?

I tried veep on sky comedy, grand designs on c4, shameless on Netflix. A wide variety of things

As Veep is on SKY Comedy is it that you don;t have the HD add on ?

If so  then as the default download quality is set to HD (high Definition) not SD then when you try to download and watch you are prompted to upgrade (i.e. take out the HD subscription)

You, probably, just need to change your download preference to SD
Main Menu -> Settings -> Setup -> Preferences

(Please note this setting can only be set on the Main box)
