Quite often I see programmes I want to record which are scheduled more that a week ahead. Other manufacturers' boxes can handle this, but Sky+ can't.
This is highly restrictive - surely a software update could fix this?

Ah sorry - I meant Sky Q of course. Same problem applies. Should I repost in the Sky Q forum?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI've moved this thread to the Sky Q board and removed your duplicate thread. The same answer applies. You can only schedule recordings a week in advance. That's very unlikely to change for satellite set ups.

If you're not at home you can remote record via the SkyGo app.

@Daniel0210 Thanks for sorting out my senior moment and moving this to the Sky Q board 🙂
@PandJ2020 Yes I use Series Link all the time with no problem and it's not a question about not being at home (useful tip though). I often come across new programmes or series mentioned in Digital Spy for example that I want to watch, but quite often they are more than one week ahead, so I have to wait until a week beforehand to set up, assuming that I remember!
It's very frustrating as my son has no such problems with his Virgin box. Is it really such a problem that Sky can't extend the EPG time beyond one week - especially since others can?
Being new to these boards, the next thing I need to do is to find out how to un-anonymise my user name 🙂

@Daniel0210 Thanks - I'll probably leave things as they are for now.
