Can I use my SkyQ card in a normal SkyHD box in our Caravan?
I have just recently purchased the Falcon QuickSAT QS65 Satellite system from Amazon, and it works a treat when travelling about in our caravan. we find heaps of channels and it's great for relaxing at night.
When performing a channel search at various sites we visit, we noticed about 700+ channels, albeit some are duplictates, but quite a lot of Sky Channels like Discovery, History etc
Can I pull out my Sky Q card from home and place it in a normal Sky HD box in the caravan and watch Sky programmes, has anyone tried it and had success? There is no need for recording, we would just like the option of being able to watch some Sky programmes 🙂
Thanks

hi @Lisa88
No - once the account is switched it can only be used in a SKY Q box
We probably should also mention the T&Cs state you can only use it at the registered address
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news - you can, of course use SKY Go when on the move

I do wish Sky had an App which you could install on the Apple TV or Firestick
Would make watching Sky Go a lot more pleasurable on the bigger screen.
They should look at that, as a lot more platforms are allowing their services on hardware like this.

There is a Sky Go app that can be installed on some models of Apple TV
Take a look at this Sky help article;

For compatible devices that you can use Sky Go on here;

Go permits HDMI output from Windows and Apple computers, Xbox and PlayStation consoles, and Apple TV boxes.
It's phones and tablets where output to an external screen is blocked.
Note that console and Apple TV use requires either Multiscreen, Whole Home or Sky Go Extra to be in the subscription.

'It's phones and tablets where output to an external screen is blocked.'
May I ask why it's blocked from these devices, is there a reason?
