Can I Upgrade from Sky+ Box to Sky Q and run both boxes in tandem until I have viewed all saved stu

We are thinking of Upgrading from Sky+ Box to Sky Q.  A Sky Technical Expert told me that when the new box is installed we get to keep the old Sky+ box and we can run both boxes in tandem in order to view all of our saved programmes on Sky+

Is this Correct ?????

I'm afraid not. A Sky Q subscription cancels your Sky+ subscription.

hi @flossie468flo

As @Mark39 says, unfortunately you cannot watch recordings on your old box once switched.

Whilst you can keep your old box, to be able yo watch recordings it needs an active viewing card but once you have SKY Q the account is switched and cannot be used in the old box

You may, also, wish to read some notes I have made for people considering switching from SKY +/HD to SKY Q

SKY +/HD to SKY Q

You might be able to watch free to air recordings on the old box, not sure.

The use of a SKY + to watch any recordings requires a current subscription

It doesn't matter which channel they are from
