Hi @Sheldon419

First make sure that the Television is switched on and is switched to the HDMI input to which the Q box is connected.
Then with the Q box switched on with green led illuminated
Press
Home 1 0 8 0 Home
on the Q box remote control.

This will change the Q box to standard resolution which will work for all TV’s.

What is "the sky icon"? Something on your TV that auto-shows what it thinks is on the other end of an input cable? You should still be able to choose that hdmi input by cycling through them.

Where's the HDMI cable?  (I presume that's the power lead for the TV hanging down?)

@Sheldon419

With the TV turned on, disconnect then reconnect the HDMI cable from the Sky box. This will then trigger the HDMI handshake and the TV should detect the Sky box and add the Sky icon to the toolbar at the bottom of the screen.

I had the same issue with my Samsung TV a couple of years back.

That might be the hdmi, with a power socket installed behind the TV position. Maybe.

Maybe - seemed a bit thin.

I believe it was a hybrid optical and copper link within the one outer wrapper, but the base unit housed the power transformer function so it wasn't mains voltage and could be very slender.
