Brand New LG C3 65 Inch Black Screen Problem

Hi, 

 

Tried pretty much everything, so trying here. Got a Brand New LG C3 65 Inch TV replacing an older LG C1. Took old one off the wall, put new one up, plugged everything back in and not getting any output from the Sky Q Box. HDMI 1 on the LG shows Sky Q is connected, but no signal coming through. Tried power cycling, checks for software updates, tried new working 2.1 Certified Cable, Tried Home 1080 Home and nothing. The LG just Says no input, its not even detecting the Sky Q is powered on, as it asks, do you switch on your set top box. Maybe I'm missing a setting or something, but all very frustrating, old C1 worked without issue.

hi @Mabseyuk 

 

Try Pressing the following keys in sequence

Home 1 0 8 0 Home

 

This resets the picture resolution to one that all TVs should work with.

 

Once you get a picture you can check the TVs HDMI settings to let you reset to UHD

Is the Q box on with green led?

How did you check for Software updates?

Yes, green light is on, Checked for Software updates on the LG, its turned on automatic on the SKY Q Box but alreayd plugged the Sky Q back into old TV and its working. Tried moving the Cable to another HDMI Slot and still not working.

 

Tried plugging my laptop into a HDMI Port on the New TV and it outputs the picture, so its not the port on the TV.

Whilst the  Home 1 0 8 0 Home  should work - if you still have the old TV available then can you reset the resolution to 1080i whilst connected to it & then try again with the new TV

Was this with the Q on with Green led?

 

When you have it connected to your old TV,  what Q resolution are you using?

Resolution in Q Home menu.

I have this and it's so frustrating, 

 

The way I do it is plug it in to hdmi whatever number, make sure you on that input, turn the q box off at the wall and turn it back on.
