SKY BOXES NOT WORKING

Both of my SKY Boxes are not working, thryvare showing amber lights and not green lights.

Standard box, FTTP Connection: My box suddenly stopped connecting to the internet tonight as well for whatever reason reset button didn't work. (Pulling power cable also no fix)

 

However my service was still up but the hub wasn't working I removed the yellow internet cable from the back  then put it back in that fixed the issue. Might fix yours too hopefully.

What happens if you press the "light buttons" manually? Do they still not come on then? Or power off & on at the wall? I assume you must have tried that already?

I have 2 SKY boxes in separate rooms and they are both NOT WORKING

The mini boxes get their signal from the main box, so are likely to have problems if the main box has them.

 

Unfortunately, just saying not working does not give us a lot to work on in terms of advice, however  may I suggest the following:

 

The first thing is to restart your main SKY Q box :

Use the remote to place it into standby mode
Then remove the power to it (either switch off at mains or remove the power plug)
Wait at least 30s
Then re-apply the power & wait for it to fully restart - this may take a few minutes.

Once the main box is restarted do the same power down on your mini box(es)

Both SKY Boxes not working.

How do I get in touch with SKY to get an engineer out as both my boxes not working.  I have tried everything to get them going.  I am paying a lot of money to watch SKY and I haven't been able to watch it for nearly a week now.

I have tried pressing the button but the light is still showing amber and now there is a NO Signal messsge on the TV

Sorry I'm confused. The "no signal" message on the TV only appeared AFTER you teied to turn the Sky box on by pressing its power/light button manually? It didn't appear when you first turned the TV on?

 

Or are you saying that pressing that button woke the TV up from standby (as it normally would when you turn a working connected sky box on) but didn't actually bring the sky box to life?

@DoctorDread  In what way are they "not working"?   Any on screen messages?  Do they switch on?

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
