Problem with live sport

My screen goes blank after a few seconds whenever I'm watching a live sports event . Doesn't happen on other sky channels

I'm hoping chloe will come back to us and confirm its a fault or at least they will fix it,  we all can't watch sports which is after all expensive packages

The only way to get it back is to swap channels and then return to Sky Sports. Happening frequently. Any ideas?

Same whilst watching SS Main event NFL Sunday night and SS NFL channel. Just goes total black screen and only get picture back after moving to another channel and then back. But it does then repeat, sometimes quickly, other times a few minutes before black again. Checked the usual, Sky Q power reboot a couple of times but same issue. Thought it might just be the NFL but happened AGAIN tonight whilst watching SS Main Event Football. Obviously Sky this is not an isolated issue as many are complaining..and we all can't have loose HDMI or Sky Qboxes. Was really angry Sunday being an NFL fan but gave up after 2 hours of problem solving..but if I am going to keep losing the events and sports it negates a lot of what I pay Sky for. I can't comment if it is happening on other channels but Sports definitely...screen just goes black,no sound, that's it..no need for picture sending. Please investigate and resolve as it needs someone to own the problem rather than ignore and imply it's just users glitches...its not.

Periodic blacking out of screen , go up a channel and then drop back down you get the picture back. Not acceptable from a top entertainment network

Thank you for making us aware of this problem, and we're sorry about any inconvenience.

As @Chloe-W22 mentioned earlier in the thread, we have the right support teams investigating this issue and as soon as we have more information, we will let everyone know.

EDIT: Additionally, can I ask

• If everyone is seeing the same problem as @Steviep1 is, on their video here?
• What Sky Sports channels are you witnessing this on? (I've seen cricket and NFL mentioned, are there any others)

Many thanks, yes I've got the same problem. It seems to happen for me while watching live coverage of sport abroad. The channels I've had a problem with are 404, 405, 412 and 416. First noticed during womens world cup cricket then later on with the NFL. One thing, when the screen goes black, sound goes as well but if I press the sound button the numbers appear on the right of the screen but only faintly and still no sound.  Cheers.

Its not just abroad Sports coverage in my case, as mentioned in the post I made. I had this issue with SS Main Event last night whilst watching the UK Championship football. However it does seem to be linked to live sports events...possibly...as when I have been watching SS News I have not as yet seen the screen turn black and just die. I can also confirm for Sky that if your using multiroom it also happens on the multiroom tv screen...ergo its the source and not individual tv's. With me it seems to happen within 30 seconds of moving onto the channels stated that you want to watch....initial picture and sound then black screen...which only redeems itself by channel hopping and then after getting the picture and sound back will go black after either a few seonds or a couple of minutes. Driving me mad and took a lot of time to rule out the "usual" Skys helpline always parrot to you

I watched the Coventry v Sheffield Utd game on 403 yesterday evening (it was actually a favourites channel number). As soon as I turned to that channel the screen went black. I flicked over to 402, immediately back to 403 and it was fine for the whole of the match.

Yes same kind of thing . Happens on all the live sports events (don't happen on non sports channels or on sky sports news or recorded events) . Happened on tennis, nfl, football, cricket over the weekend and before

Yeah, I agree it's live sport from anywhere not just abroad. I realise now that I  watched the Sunday late Prem game on download later which probably meant it didn't take effect.

Just for clarity, I had brand new HDMI cables recently as I had faster Fibre installed so that has no bearing on the black screens.

Yes, I am seeing the same problem with Sky 404 

It intermittently play and it goes black despite when you hit the ok button the mini box shows that it's playing. 

Not only this issue, but there seem to a problem with all Sky HD channels expiring static pixelation for about 0.5 seconds. This static doesn't happened on BBC, ITV, Ch4 /5 and all SD. The worst Stuaroc is observed on live Sports events. 

I have a new box, new dish , LNB and cables and it's still there.
