Bird deterent

Can I attach bird spikes to my sky dish and arm without impacting the signal?

You'd want non-metallic elements, typically attached along the arm rather than the dish surface: as a DIY alternative, cable ties left poking up may be viable.

The main risk of causing signal disruption is actually through moving the dish out of alignment while carrying out the work.

If you're careful, but it's not recommended & is highly likely to affect the signal.
