BBC HD Free Sky Q upgrade

Received a letter today that I will get a free Sky Q upgrade due to the BBC moving to HD.  I have the original Sky + Box and 1 other Sky Box.  I was wondering will I get a free Sky Q Mini box to replace my 2nd Sky box as this will also be unable to receive BBC Channels.

@Garion14You need to speak to Sky, I would imagine you could get 2 BUT only Sky will know.

hi @Garion14 

You probably will get the mini box for free but you might need to specifically request one - never assume anything. 

To use a mini you will need the multiscreen add on - I don't know how that equates to the older multiroom sub that you currently have

It will be unable to receive anything once the main box is changed, so you definitely need a Sky Q Mini Box.

Important to note that in the context of a Mini box 'free' means no up front cost, but does not guarantee zero increase in monthly subscription payment.  Typically Multiscreen is more expensive than Multiroom for one additional box, but represents a saving for subsequent boxes.
