Apps not working on Sky Q

I've seen a few posts about this and mostly the same responses which I've tried with limited success.

When I try and use streaming apps on Sky Q (Netflox, Prime, Disney+, etc) everything works right up until I try and watch a show. It's not an internet issue. I've reset the box which usually fixes the issue but only short term and next time I try and use the apps it's broken again. I've got the latest software updated, I've reset settings, I've refreshed apps. Nothing provides a lasting fix. It's ridiculous that sky has this issue which has been impacting a number of people for quite a long time and they've not managed to sort it out.

Is there anything else I can do?

Re: Apps not working on Sky Q

I don't know if this is quite the same for you but this worked for me:

I had connected my iPhone to my Sky Q mini box (to play music through the tv, however, different apps on the apps rail kept crashing, sometimes towards the end of a programme and sometimes near the beginning.

The logical thing to do is to undo the most recent action, so I disconnected (do not need to delete), the Wi-Fi from the mini box in Settings on my phone. The difference was immediate, nothing has crashed since. Hope anyone who reads this is lucky like me to have such a simple problem to fix.
