What do you mean.... you can't replicate the problem?  It needs fixing, not replicating.

 

I have also tried what you suggest (in the past) and recently and it works initially then goes back to normal.  The issue is with Apple TV+ and YouTube apps only!!

@trick110 Sky would need to be able to replicate the problem before they can fix otherwise how do they know there is a problem if they can't see the problem hope that makes sense 😀

Hello,

 

I'd like to add that we currently have the same issue with Apple TV. Is there anything else that can be done @skytv? The app refresh has not resolved the issue.

Nope, still nothing after the app refresh. Hard to believe you can't "replicate the problem" when it seems to happening to everyone 😅

I have found resetting the apple TV app and logging back in again will resolve it for a bit.  Normally re-occurs the next day or so unfortunately!

Exact same issues as everyone else

Although I went through all the reset options on this thread and now I have no sound at all on anything ( sound works fine when not in sky ) .

 

Thanks for the fabulous insight sky and making a bad situation worse with your tips. Either early to bed or watch the champions league semi final with no sound it looks like for me 🤣

I presume this is related to the issue that the Sky implementation of the Apple TV ap only transmits sound in PCM 2.0 rather than Dolby digital. Suggest you use a Firestick until they upgrade the ap.

Had to re-sign back into Apple TV app via Sky Q. Sound restored! Not sure if this is a permanent solution, time will tell.,

Spot on ! The sound has gone again! What TV do you have ? Mine is a Samsung & I'm wondering if this is a common factor?

This really is pathetic from Sky. Pay all that money every month and they don't seem to be bothered. They say they can't recreate the issue. We'll try this, get one of your employees to take a sky Q box home. Plug it in and try watch Apple TV and you will soon see that there is no sound

Yes, same for me, which indicates it's not app related but more likely Sky Q related

Sky has replied to me directly so I'm hoping that this gets resolved soon. I did explain that I had no problems on my other sky q box before moving to my new address. I also get issues on Spotify. I agree with other users that if we are paying extortionate prices for our package then we should have these apps working at least.
