When we turn to the AppleTV+ app on SkyQ, everything works perfectly - except there is no sound at all. Other apps (eg Netflix, iPlayer) have sound, Sky TV channels have sound, and if we switch to the smart TV (a Samsung) it also has sound.
I have checked and the software for SkyQ is up to date. The audio settings are normal, and we have no external speakers or anything like that.
Any ideas?

Unfortunately, we can't replicate this problem at the minute. Can I suggest trying a couple things:
Refresh Apps
Refreshing Apps can take up 24 hrs.
To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select. Select Apps
Highlight Refresh all Apps on this box.
You'll see a message that says, 'Your apps are being refreshed'. This will stay on screen until you press Dismiss to return to normal viewing
Or, you can also Reset Settings
To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select.
Only Carry out the first Reset (Reset Settings) as the other two will wipe all recordings.
After the Reset you will have to re pair your Bluetooth remote If you use one.

Akban, I switched picture quality to SD in Apple TV app settings to get sound back on.

I thought I had solved the issue but switching to SD only worked once. I did contact Sky who asked me to refresh the apps & update the sky software. Unfortunately this only worked the one time. I'm still unable to watch Apple TV thru Sky Q, and have opted to watch it via my Samsung TV app instead. This is really poor support on Skys part.

I have had the same issue for months!! Both Apple TV and YouTube for me. I have refreshed the apps and reset the Sky Q box and it works once but then back to the same with no sound!!
Needs sorting Sky!!

I'm having this problem too. No sound in apple tv at all. This was also the case when I used apple tv back in December, so it isn't new.
Please sort it out sky, it's been months.

I've been having the same issue also looks like they still haven't solved the problem. I tried adjusting the sound numerous times which works once then goes back to normal. I'm able to watch it through my smart tv but why should we need to do this if we have the sky box.

I find it odd in all the time this thread has been going that no sky moderators/experts have offered a comment let alone solution ? Appalling ?

Same here, when I spoke to sky they stated they had not heard of the problem. I told the operator to google it.
