I have exactly the same issue. Thanks very much for the work around tip. Before I read this thread I have only been able to watch Apple TV once in over two weeks. Please fix this Sky.

Well a bit of an update which may help Sky pinpoint the issue.

 

I tried the going straight into the app today and initially it was working. However I wasn't signed in and after signing in using the QR code it then refreshed and was stuck as before (the work around is still ok)

Thank you. The work around is OK as long as you have an Apple programme showing on the Home screen. I haven't been able to locate one recently.

 

Is there somewhere else I can look?

 

SKY needs to get this sorted out ASAP.....

@MAD63 it took me ages to find a program so I could get in. Not sure there's any other workaround. It's been the only way I've managed it. 

Had to scroll through and down every program listed on the homescreen to be able to find one.

My issue is the same.  It was working but over the last couple of days it stopped.  However , it does work on my mobile.

I'm having the same issue and even when I try the suggested workaround I still just get the apple logo so can't watch anything on the apple app. I mostly subscribed to sky to get Apple (as not available on virgin media at the time) so it's hugely frustrating.

Went to watch tonight first time in a week and can't get past the apple logo, works fine on mobile/pc/tvs inbuilt AppleTV app, just not on the stream puck.

I got mine back working by unplugging the puck for 30 seconds and plugging it back in.

How bizarre, mine has worked fine tonight when I went in through the app

 

Hopefully Sky have sorted out the issue now 🤞

Have the exact same issue as everyone else in this thread - frozen screen, control not working, no images displayed, and I don't have an Apple tv program listed on the homescreen to try the fix - sort it out Sky!!
