SkyQ and Prime Video Issue's

Since Tuesday (26th August 2025), there must have been an update done, this has completely messed up Prime Video. You log in and the front page is a little messed up, you press the down arrow and it goes down (fine) but the txt is all messed up and overalpping the stuff above, you press down again to get to the first top and thats fine, there is only 1 topic showing below that and when you press down (or back up) you end up getting a full screen picture of a random program but you are unable to play it and everytime you press a directional button it changes to another full screen ad.

It was fine the day before but since tuesday we have not been able to use Prime video at all since you never get an option to play/watch.

 

We have tried turning off the internet and after a minute rebooting it, we have tried turning off teh SkyQ box and rebooting it after a minute, this did not fix the issue. We have tried doing the settings (press 001) and go down to the app's and refresh (this also did not work).

Other solutions mentioned is to clear teh cache (have no idea how to do this on skyQ  at all, check for prime update specifically (have no idea how to do this either) and uninstall prime video app and reinstall it (also have no idea at all how to do this with skyQ box.

 

Did they literally F something up again (like they did with a differant App (not sure which one it was, disney+ or AppleTV+)) that they said was not their fault and took 6mths for them to fix it because it was their fault and whichever app it was as well.

I do not like Netflix's new look and of course Prime Video also has to follow suite with changing theirs and looks like between Sky and Prime they F'ed something up.

 

I am out of idea's on what to try to do to get to view prime again, so any idea's or help would be nice

Great news - Prime rolled back a change they made, thanks to this feedback💪

There's no apostrophe in "issues". It's a plural.

Amazon prime

I have just gone into Amazon Prime and the main menu is not displaying correctly.  It doesn't give me all the boxes. You log in no problem but all the what we think you would like is not there.  

 

I have refreshed, done the q box updates and still the same... works fine on normal tv and firestick.  Makes me think its a sky issue. You only see the issue when you scroll down.... then you get one thing up at a time... super weird? 

 

Anyone else having the same?

...but if you have access via an alternative method I'd personally avoid using Q apps.

Oh thank goodness its not just me then.  Weirdly it works on the mini box which makes no sense.  

 

Hopefully they will fix it.

oh are you also having the same issue? Glad someone else is also having the same issue then.

I did notice that the written txt just below the picture is overlapping but as soon as you move off that it all goes screwy.

As said it started Tuesday (so either an update in the early hrs of that day or around that time) messed this app up.

I rang Sky and they said the technical team are aware of the issue and are working on it.  It might be worth you calling them too and flagging it.  I tried all the self help as well and pointed out others on the forum are having issues too.  Also said the mini box is working fine.

Seems to be a few users... 

Only sky Q box and Amazon Prime app.  Yet works perfectly on the mini box and normal tv app.  

 

It sort of looks ok... but isn't quite right.  The app is out of alignment you can't click play on anything.  As soon as you scroll all the boxes vanish!

The more people that ring sky with the issue the quicker they should fix it  

 

Ironically my mini box is perfect its simply the app on the Q box.  Im just using the smart tv version currently.

yes, the 2 box's are overlapping each other and when you scroll down it only has 1 row of items showing, what we think you will like, going further will just bring up a full screen ad of a random programme that you cannot watch pressing left down right will flick to another pressing up will just go to a black screen. Also if you scrolled down by 1 to more details that will overlap and cover up the resume button or whatever else is there if you was not playing anything).

This started on Tuesday so must have happened with some sort of update. I am hoping that they fix it as it basically has rendored Prime Video totally worthless on the SkyQ box (which is the main box) and only way for teh whole household to watch.

 

All other Apps are working fine (even the new look netflix style layout works) which sucks bigtime may i just say. I prefer the old style, much easier to navigate and quicker.

Yes, mine too.  I can't imagine we are the only ones.  

 

I rang Sky and they said it is a fault... 

 

The more people that call them the better.  

 

Hopefully they fix it soon.
